Shift and Schedule

8 hour shift / Monday to Friday

We are seeking a full-time, permanent, Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift employee who will will assist providers and other members of the health care team by performing a variety of patient care procedures within the specific scope of practice, which may include but not limited to: measuring patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature), manage rooming and patient flow, assisting with the patient visits and/or clinical procedures, post-visit duties including scheduling/coordinating test orders and performing pre-screening education for endoscopic procedures. We are looking to hire for our Nampa location

Responsibilities of the job include but not limited to:

  • Required to work Full time Monday - Friday - 8 hour shift
  • Demonstrates skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient
  • Demonstrates safe, efficient, cost-effective care utilizing clinically and ethically sound decisions
  • Provides assistance to physicians and nurses assuring optimal patient safety and comfort
  • Assists in the care, cleaning and stocking of patient exam, utility and supply rooms
  • Demonstrates knowledge of normal blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations and oxygen saturation; notifies nursing staff of vital signs outside of normal parameters
  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate identified problems and obtain assistance to assess care provided and patient responses
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided to assure integration of information used to provide quality care
  • Assures inter-agency referral forms and orders are complete and accurate (i.e. lab orders, radiologic procedures, prior-authorizations, etc.)
  • Provides instructions to patients regarding pre-procedure preparation within limits of knowledge and scope of practice.

Educational requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Medical assisting, medical terminology previous scheduling or clerical experience, or previous medical office training preferred
  • Maintains current CPR/ BLS certification preferred
  • Medical assistant certification or registration within one year of hire and this to remain current thereafter Preferred
  • Two years of clinical or office experience preferred
